Hello Renishaw!

We’ve created this page just for you. For decades we have supported your manufacturing by supplying the adhesives, dispensing, curing, surface preparation, and process-control tools that keep your production reliable and repeatable.

On this page we will share how we can support you with your challenges, any emerging technologies, and helpful technical resources. It’s also a good opportunity for you to get to know your dedicated sales team a little better. It’s a practical shortcut to the things you already rely on us for, plus a few ideas you might not have tried yet. And if you’re working on a new project, let’s start by talking about your application.

My interaction with Intertronics has always been very helpful. They are very prompt with responding to enquiries regarding support with failure analysis or material selection. I was quite pleased with how on one occasion, Ian and David went above and beyond to conduct initial tests to prove out an adhesive suitability for a specific application. Very impressive!

Accelerate your learning

We’ve welcomed Renishaw to our Technology Centre many times, and it continues to be a valuable resource for turning ideas into reality. It’s the ideal environment to experiment with your specification process, validate material choices, and evaluate new production methods before committing to full-scale implementation.

Based in Oxfordshire, the Technology Centre is well-equipped with different robots, dispensers, UV curing lamps, mixers, plasma surface treatment systems, and surface measurement instruments. We also workshop different material options with your parts and do proof-of-concept trials with you.

Prefer to learn on-site? We can also come to you. Our team delivers in-house seminars tailored to you, giving your engineers the opportunity to dive deeper into the topics that matter most.

Let our Head of Learning & Development, Kevin Brownsill, show you around.

Your go-to team

David Brown

“I joined Team West at Intertronics in April 2025, and it’s been a real privilege to work with you since. We’re currently supporting a number of projects within the Encoder Products Division, and the technology is really impressive. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and exploring new projects.”

Designing in light curing adhesives

White paper

Light curing adhesives can provide significant process advantages. Designing-in or specifying a light curing adhesive allows engineers to include such advantages from the early stages of production.

Adhesive considerations at the design stage

White paper

Adhesives are often treated as the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle. But by the end of the design stage, it may be difficult to find an adhesive that meets all the criteria, meaning the design must be amended, or even started again. This paper explains the benefits of considering adhesives early in a project.

Potting and encapsulating - avoiding voids

White paper

The formation of air bubbles or voids in a final encapsulated or potted component can cause major headaches. This whitepaper considers ways in which processes can be adapted or specified to avoid the risks of void formation.

Many people at Renishaw will know us well. But for those who don’t – this video explains how we work with our customers when your real challenge is not just choosing a product, but making the whole process work smoothly, with lower risk, and predictable results.

We start by listening to what success actually looks like for you, then apply our experience across materials, dispensing, curing, surface preparation, and measurement to help you make choices that stand up in real production.

And, of course, there’s the less visible parts of what we do, from fast response and reliable supply to calibration, servicing, training, and hands-on trials. Underpinning all of this is a simple belief: the work our customers do matters beyond their own factory walls, whether it is improving safety, reliability, or security in the real world.
